I was checking weather today and ran across this atool that is on the Weather.com site:
It is a database that can be customized for your zip code, and can be accessed for a wide variety of plants.
Definitely worth a look.
It seems that every garden club and public garden got together and decided that this weekend is “Plant Sale
Weekend.”
The Asheville Citizen-Times had this article today:

I will not be ready for another month to start plantings (more realistically, about two months)

I read all kinds of magazines about gardening. I try and hit the library regularly and read what is on the shelves, and then I will buy a couple off the newsstand every season.
Then there are the online versions that I spend time with.
I read The Herb Companion for a few reasons:
1. They always have articles about growing herbs, and using them
2. It is graphically rich and pleasing to the eye
3. There is always a challenging article that stimulates deeper thinking
